Summary Zahid Hamid stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has raised objections
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- Parliamentary committee did not reach consensus on replacing National Accountability Bureau with National Accountability Commission, reported Roznama Dunya on Wednesday.
Speaking to media after parliamentary huddle, Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has raised objections which would come under consideration in the next sitting. Zahid told media personnel that PTI opposes bid to prison judges and military officials in the jurisdiction of anti-graft watchdog.
In a written statement, PTI’s Shireen Mazari raised objections to the proposed draft.
“The contents of the NAC bill show it does not introduce a single measure of reform that would improve the current accountability process or bring corrupt elements to task,” said Mazari.
