Summary Police officer Khurram Shahzad resumed charge of senior superintendent of police (SSP) on Monday.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (Rawalpindi Bench) on Monday suspended the sentence of two police officers who were sentenced for 17 years by an Anti-Terrorism Court in Banazir Bhutto murder case.
An Anti-Terrorism Court on August 31 had awarded 17 years imprisonment to former senior superintendent of police (SSP) Khurram Shahzad and former Rawalpindi CPO Saud Aziz in the Benazir Bhutto murder.
Both Khurram Shahzad and Saud Aziz had challenged the judgement against them in the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench. The LHC on Monday suspended the sentence of Khurram Shahzad and Saud Aziz.
After the suspension of the sentence, IG Punjab has ordered Khurram Shahzad to resume his duty as SSP Special branch while Saud Aziz has retired from his post.
