Summary The Lahore High Court has rejected the application that sought to summon Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Fauzia Wahab for giving contradictory statements on the issue of Raymond Davis.
Azhar Siddique, a lawyer, requested the court to summon former foreign minister Qureshi and Fauzia Wahab because they gave contradictory statements regarding the diplomatic status of US citizen Raymond Davis. The LHC chief justice said that there was no immediate need to summon them.Hearing another petition filed against the law of diplomatic immunity to all diplomats, the court summoned the attorney general on March 14 for the explanation of the law.The court also issued a notice to the federal government, for March 14, while hearing a petition that sought the courts directions to shift Raymond Davis to the Lahore Fort.
