ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Opposition parties while reacting to Rangers deployment outside accountability on Monday gave mixed opinions over the matter.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said that Panama case has weakened the federal government. He notified that if the court had to summon Rangers, they should have written to the interior ministry.

Khohro asserted that if the court had not sought Rangers assistance, then it raises a big question over the deployment.

PPP leader Saeed Ghani said that Rangers action in Islamabad is unacceptable and it will not be tolerated that civilian rights are being trampled.

Former Senate chairman Nayyar Hussain Bokhari articulated that the Interior Minister should have respected the law and court instead of questioning that why was his entry to accountability court was blocked.

PTI leader Babar Awan termed Ahsan Iqbal’s incident as second episode of “Why I was ousted?”

PTI vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the Interior Minister should resign if he is helpless. He asserted that the Interior Minister should not only utter statements but also implement them.

The PTI leader said that the people should refrain from unnecessary visits to court. He taunted that some of the people only arrive for the purpose of flattery.

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed also lashed out at PML-N and said that the Interior Minister should resign.

He pointed out that PML-N wants to leave the government through force. “They should count 120 days from now onwards. Either they will remain here or the supremacy of law. PML-N wants confrontation but it suits them the most,” he said.
