Summary Rescue activities underway to avoid any harmful incident due to the large-scale spillage

(Web Desk) – Oil Tanker in Orangi Town of Karachi turned turtle in the afternoon hours on Sunday. It was carrying 50,000 litres of oil which caused a heavy spillage in the area and the situation became prone to any harmful incident.

Rescue services were called quickly and the activities are underway to avoid any accident. The tanker was traveling through Manghopir Road and as soon as it overturned, the area residents established contact with police, Rangers and rescue officials.



A large number of contingent arrived on the spot to help clean up the spillage. The oil spill spread at distant locations which is why rescue services are required to avert the disaster.

The district administration has been slow to move out the oil tanker and clean its spillage. The accident was caused by broken portions of the main road.
