Summary Senates Standing Committee on Interior has directed the FIA to register a case against the officials of Health Department against the quota of producing Ephedrine drug in huge quantity.
The Committee’s chairman Senator Talha Mehmood said that Health Ministry violated the laws to issue the quota to 2 companies for producing this drug up to 9,000 kg and made embezzlement of Rs 4 billion.The Chairman said that CDA embezzled Rs 70 billion with allotment of 3,000 plots in Islamabad and FIA should look into the matter.He said that PSO MD had admitted theft of petrol of worth Rs 10 crore but no action was taken against anyone.
