Summary Two more witnesses of Sialkot lynching case recorded their statement in the court on Saturday.
Hearing of the Sialkot lynching case, in which two brothers were killed by a mob, was held in the Central Jail Gujranwala. Two witnesses, Shehzad, a journalist, and Sakhawat Ali recorded their statement, while defense lawyers also completed their cross-examination.Former district police officer Sialkot Waqar Chohan and former inspector Rana Ilyas also attended the court proceedings on court orders. Waqar Chohan filed an application to the court to get exemption from the court hearings on medical grounds. The judge has summoned the medicolegal officer of Allama Iqbal Hospital Dr. Azhar to assist the court in the matter.
