Summary Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party was persuading the Muttahida Quami Movement to join the ruling coalition.
Addressing the inaugurating ceremony of the National Crisis Management Cell in Karachi, Malik said that law enforcement agencies had arrested several gangs and extortionists.He said that criminals in Karachi committed crimes in the name of MQM and Awami National Party. However, during investigation no link was found between the criminals and those parties. It is the responsibility of the state to unveil the terrorists, he added.MQM Deputy Convenor Dr. Farooq Sattar said MQM is a well wisher of the government and it is not necessary that MQM would join the government. He said that it would be suicidal if economic reforms were not introduced in the country.He added that Altaf Hussain and Asif Ali Zardari share harmony in their political ideology. He said that political system should be beneficial to everyone, including the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the ANP.
