Summary Employees of the education department from grade 1 to 4 have called off their protest after the holding successful talks with MQM leader Farooq Sattar. They were given assurance of being regularized in a week. They were demanding their salaries to be paid on time. Marvi Memon also expressed sympathy with the protesters.
Employees of grade 1 to 4 of the Education Department from Karachi and other parts of Sindh have ended their protests. A total of 7187 employees were demanding their salaries should be paid on time and they should be made permanent.Member of the National Assembly, Marvi Memon expressed her sympathy for the protestors. She added that if the demands of the lower education staff are not met and they are not made permanent, then she will raise the issue on the National Assembly. Abid, one of the protesters from Hyderabad, was suffering from pain in the heart. Marvi Memon took Abid to the hospital in her car.The Education Department employees as a protest tried to march towards the Chief Minister’s House but the police stopped them by shelling and even arrested a few workers.
