NA standing committee approves amendments PMDC Registration Bill

The meeting of standing committee held under the chairmanship of Dr Nadeem Ehsan, the committee concerned over the mismanagement in federal hospitals and also showed dissatisfaction over the working progress of federal hospitals’ Inspector Generals. The committee recommended the strict action against those doctors who are continuing medical practice in government houses and are absent from duty without prior notice.Secretary Health informed the committee that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani holds the portfolio of health ministry and no policy has been formed regarding the transfer of the ministry to provinces under 18th amendment. The committee hailed the PM’s decision to resolve the demands of paramedical demands.
