Summary Supreme Court Bar Association rejected the extension in the services of Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday and Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery as ad-hoc judges, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
A resolution had passed for the appointment of both judges on ad-hoc basis. While rejecting the resolution, SCBA has demanded that no judge will be appointed on ad-hoc basis.On the other hand, CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Chairman of the Judicial Commission has called the commission’s meeting on 19th of Feb. According to sources, the commission will consider the appointment of two ad-hoc Judges and confirmation of nine additional judges of Sindh High Court.
