Summary 7-member larger bench of Supreme Court will hear the writ petition of PCO judges tomorrow (Friday), Dunya News reported on Thursday.
A larger bench headed by CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will start the hearing of PCO judges’ case. The bench includes Justice Javaid Iqbal, Justice Saqib Nisar, Justice Sarmad Jilal Usmani, Justice Tusadiq Hussain Jillani, Justice Ameer Hani and Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan. A 4-member bench of SC had indicted PCO judges during the hearing of court contempt case on Feb 2.Former judges Husnat Ahmed, Shabir Raza Rizvi, Abdul Hameed Dogar and Yasmin Abbasi have filed an appeal against the verdict in Intra court. The court has admitted the appeal for hearing and issued the summons to the parties for Feb 18.
