Summary The gas crisis in Balochistan has worsened as the frigid weather of the region troubles the locals, while the chief minister, the governor and other ministers are out of the province.
Unidentified men blew up the 18 inch diameter pipeline near Dera Murad Jamali between Tuesday and Wednesday night that suspended the gas supply to the various districts of the province. Earlier, the supply had restored after days’ suspension on February 15.Rain and snowfall have already increase cold intensity in the province, upon that absence of gas is amplifying the problems of the locals. Though gas supply to Quetta was restored by a 12 inch diameter pipeline, its slow pressure had failed to provide a relief to the people.According to the Sui Southern Gas Company, the pipeline repairs have been started and reparation will take two days.
