Summary Heavy contingent of police and elite force commandos have initiated operation.
RAJANPUR (Dunya News) –Bandits abducted at least eight policemen in Kacha area of Rajanpur on Sunday.
According to details, the kidnapped policemen include elite force personnel Luqman, Zeeshan, Shakir, Sabir, Jamshaid, Safdar Naich and assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Muzammil.
Heavy contingent of police and elite force commandos arrived in the area and initiated operation against the bandits. Meanwhile, all the entry and exit points have also been sealed.
District Police Officer (DPO) Attique Tahir has said that the police personnel were off to holidays on a private boat when the bandits kidnapped then while taking benefit of them being unarmed.
It is pertinent to mention here that shootouts occur between the police and bandits now and then. Last year, Chotu gang laid down arms after Pakistan Army’s grand operation in the area. However; his accomplices are once again active in the Kacha area.
