ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi convened a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Business Council on Wednesday and said that the government has made amendments in the policy to accommodate traders.
The premier said that legislation was done to establish dedicated economic zones and special attention has been given to law and order in the country. He said that the government wants to give an easy-to-invest environment to the traders.
He hailed recommendations of the council as valuable inputs.
The delegation told the premier that efforts of the government have bore fruit as investors have restored their trust in the market.
PM Abbasi also chaired a meeting to discuss development affairs of the capital. He directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to ensure high standards of service in residential localities of Islamabad.
He instructed the authority to ensure adoption of a mechanism that addresses issues faced by the people.
Separately, states and frontier regions minister Abdul Qadir Baloch, former state minister Umer Ayub and aviation advisor Sardar Mehtab called on Prime Minister Abbasi.
