Summary Due to the incompetence of LESCO, a line man lost his life as he was electrocuted while fixing 11,000KV wire. The electricity came in the wire as he was fixing the wire when he was electrocuted. Neither LESOC officials nor the police made an effort to arrive at the scene.
Electricity had not been coming to the Tauhid Nagar area on Main fallout road since 10am. 35 year old Rizwan was fixing the 11,000KV electricity wire when the main feeder of that wire was turned on when Rizwan was electrocuted to death. The 11,000KV shock killed Rizwan on the spot.Rizwan’s body kept hanging from the electricity pole for 35 minutes when neither the police not the LESCO officials bothered to come to the scene. Rizwan’s friends took the responsibility to get the body off the pole. Rescue 1122 was called and his body was taken to Mayo Hospital.
