LARKANA (Web Desk) - A private cadet college student in Larkana, who was paralysed by his teacher’s alleged torture last August, returned back to Pakistan in good health after successful treatment in US.

Ahmed Hussain, an eighth grade student, underwent a harsh physical punishment by his teacher due to unknown reason. He lost his consciousness and was paralysed due to an injury to his head forcing him to bed.

The severe torture left the boy with fractured bones and deterioration of mental health. He was also not able to speak or walk on his own.

Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah while taking immediate notice of the incident formed an inquiry commission to probe the matter.

He announced that the provincial government will bear all the expenses of Ahmed’s treatment and directed the health minister to make arrangements for his treatment in United States if enough facilities are not available in Pakistan.

Ahmed was later sent to US as his treatment in a private hospital of Karachi turned futile. He has been in Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio, US since February 14.

After the medical board examined Ahmed and permitted him to return to his homeland, he arrived in the country on Independence Day with his father and was received warmly by the Sindh Chief Minister.
