Summary The Pakistan Electric Power Company director general has said that the PEPCO will try that people do not have to suffer power outage on Eid -Milad un Nabi.

Addressing a press conference in the WAPDA House Lahore, he said that line hookers would not only be fined but also be booked. He said that he did not receive the summary for dissolution of the PEPCO and 30th June was the deadline for the task.The DG said that PEPCO owed Rs 33 billion of Pakistan State Oil and the Petroleum Ministry was looking in to the matter. He said that the furnace oil supply to PEPCO would not be interrupted.WAPDA is generating 500 to 700 megawatts less than its capacity due the shortage of gas supply, he added. Two to four hour daily load-shedding is scheduled in Lahore, while other cities are facing 6 hours load-shedding in a day, the DG said.
