Summary American Consular General to Pakistan Carmela Conroy said that no American official showed any offensive attitude against the jail authorities while visiting Raymond.
According to a statement issued by the American Embassy in Islamabad, Carmela said that Raymond’s attitude has been cooperative after his arrest but he has been jailed like common prisoners.She further said that Raymond has not been provided the facilities of telephone, television and internet. Carmela said that Raymond Davis sleeps on an ordinary mattress and he is permitted to have access to the consular.The American Consular concluded that no American official adopted any offensive attitude towards the jail authorities at the time of meeting with Raymond. She appreciated the professional capability of the jail authorities.
