Summary Major Ali Salman was laid to rest in Lahore
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has reported on Wednesday that body of Major Ali Salman, martyred in Timergara was laid to rest in Lahore.
Funeral prayer of the martyred officer was offered in Lahore Garrison which was attended by senior civil and military officials.
The major and three sepoys lost their lives foiling a terror bid in Upper Dir in the morning today. The martyrs were identified as Major Ali Salman, Havaldar Ghulam Nazir, Havaldar Akhta and Sepoy Abdul Karim.
According to ISPR, Major Ali Salman of intelligence agency along with his team was conducting an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) against a terrorist hideout in Sherotkai, Timergara, Upper Dir when terrorists opened fire on them.
One of three terrorists in hideout exploded himself while the other one got killed in exchange of fire.
Moreover, one terrorist was detained during the operation.
Funeral prayers of the three soldiers were offered in Peshawar Garrison and their bodies were moved to their native towns.
