ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Meeting of parliamentary leaders presided over by Speaker of National Assembly (NA) Ayaz Sadiq has decided on Monday that a ten-member ethics committee is to be formed to probe MNA Ayesha Gulalai’s allegations against Imran Khan.

Reportedly, the committee is to be comprised of six government and four opposition lawmakers and will file a report over Gulalai’s allegations within a month.

Political parties have been written to file names of lawmakers to be included in the ethics committee.

Gulalai has accused PTI chief of making unwelcome advances that hindered her role as a lawmakers as well as a party activist.

Khan has categorically denied the allegations with his party members alleging her of having pocketed millions from rival PML-N to bring Khan down after his party struck gold in four-year-long street politics of protest when former premier Nawaz Sharif was disqualified last month in corruption case.

The allegedly harassed MNA has claimed in interviews that Khan cannot deny the evidence she has. Gulalai claimed that she received the first text message from Khan s mobile number in 2013 and last one in July 2016.

Earlier in the day today, Gulalai addressed the NA and slammed PTI by saying that there could not be compromise over one s character and slammed PTI for alleged mudslinging.
