ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A report has been submitted in the National Assembly (NA) of Pakistan in which it has been stated that 319 ceasefire violations have been committed by India since November 1, 2016.

A written answer was presented in NA by the Ministry of Defence upon the query of Member National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Syed, and it was told that the unprovoked firing by Indian army across Line of Control (LoC) martyred 66 civilians and injured 228 since January 1, 2013.

Ayesha Syed also inquired about oil and gas, and Ministry of Petroleum wrote in its answer that the incumbent government is working on different projects to increase the production. 46 licenses have been issued by the government, 386 wells have been dug out, and 41 projects have been leased to increase manufacturing.

Upon MNA Tahira Bukhari’s inquiry, Ministry of Petroleum also stated that three discoveries of oil and gas were made in last two years in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Ministry of Communication told in its reply to MNA Shakeela Luqman’s question in writing that Pakistan Post has suffered the collective losses of Rs20408530000 in past three years.

Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, upon MNA Sheikh Rohail Asghar’s question, let it be known in its written answer that the suggestion to install CCTV cameras at sensitive polling stations in 2018 general election is under consideration.

Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs replied to MNA Sheikh Salahuddin’s query and said overseas Pakistanis are deprived of their right to cast vote.

Every Pakistani possessing Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is entitled to be enlisted as voter as per electoral lists of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), it was stated.
