Sheikhupura: Land mafias firing paralyses worker

As per details, farmer Muhammad Riaz purchased a house last year in Chak No 22 of Sheikhupura and settled there. The influential landlord of the area Liaqat and others wanted him to vacate the house and threatened for severe consequences.On his refusal, the armed gang of the accused attacked the family of Riaz and bulldozed his house. Riaz and his brother Arshad seriously injured in firing by the accused.According to the hospital sources, lower portion of Arshad paralyzed in a bullet injury in his backbone.Sharqpur Police did not register the case against accused even after 24 hours, whereas, the minors of the affected family were compelled to shift under the open sky.
