Summary PML-N and PML-Q jointly condemned the non-approval of resolutions against Raymond Davis and drone attacks in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Dunya News reported on Monday.
ANP put the blame of U-turn in policies on the shoulders of Pervez Musharraf. PML-N’s Javed Abbasi said on point of order that Lahore incident could have been avoided if resolution against Blackwater’s presence in Pakistan was approved. He said that whole US machinery came into action to save Raymond but we were not allowed to record a protest. PML-Q’s Nighat Orakzai said that Dr. Aafia should be repatriated to Pakistan, in case, the government succumbed to US pressure to hand over Raymond Davis. Senior Minister Bashir Bilour said that Musharraf’s U-turn worsened the condition in Pakistan.
