Summary Chairman Evacuee Property Trust Board (ETPB) Asif Hashmi has announced to resign over the interference of Federal Minister Shahbaz Bhatti. He said that he will resign from the post on March 7 if the interference by the said minister is not stopped.
Syed Asif Hashmi blamed that it was difficult for him to properly look into his duties due to unnecessary interference of Shahbaz Bhatti. He said that the government should take notice of the issue, or replace him with a better person. The employees of the board threatened to stage protest against his resignation. The employees demanded to any kind of interference in the work of the chairman Asif Hashmi.
