Summary Sindh High Court judge Masheer Alam took oath as Chief justice of Sindh High Court, while Justice Sarmad Jilal Usmani and Justice Ameer Khani Muslim took oath as SC judge. The taking oath ceremony of SC judges was held in Sindh High Court and was attended by CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Attorney General of Pakistan Justice (R) Maulvi Anwaul Haq, SCB president Asma Jahangir and other high officials.
On the other hand, Sindh High Court judge Masheer Alam took oath as Chief justice of Sindh High Court and the oath was administrated by Governor Sindh. Sind Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and a large no lawyers and other judicial officials were also present on the occasion. President Asif Ali Zardari has given the approval of judge’s appointment in Supreme Court and Sindh High Court on the advice of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani. Judicial Commission recommended the PM to appoint Justice Sarmad Jilal Usmani and Justice Ameer Khani Muslim in Apex court and Masheer Alam as Chief Justice of Sindh High Court.PM moved the summary to Presidency for final approval of new appointments. President Asif Ali Zardari approved the summary and signed on it on Friday.
