Summary Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar will head the three-member bench.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After the Panama Papers, another high-profile case regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s ineligibility will be heard by the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan today (Thursday).

In the absence of Imran’s counsel Anwar Mansoor, who has gone abroad, Naeem Bukhari will defend PTI chairman regarding his money trail before the three-member bench that will be headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar. Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Umar Ata Bandial are the other two honorable members of the bench.

CJP had remarked on the previous hearing that the apex court issued notices on some miscellaneous applications but their replies were not submitted. Justice Saqib Nisar further asked that when will Imran Khan’s lawyer be available for the case.

Advocate Naeem Bukhari then requested the court to given him two-day time and took the stance that he has to submit some important documents in the Supreme Court.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi had filed the petition against PTI chief for his ineligibility.
