ECP likely to give verdict in Imran Khan's contempt of court case today

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is likely to announce verdict in contempt of court case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan today (Monday).

According to the sources, new counsel of Imran Khan, Babar Awam will appear in the hearing during which he is likely to be given brief time for arguments.

It is to be mentioned here that PTI founding member Akbar S. Babar alleged Imran Khan of calling government institutions as biased in the foreign funding reference that comes under contempt of court case.

Earlier, PTI chairman had failed to submit his reply in the case and his counsel sought more time from the election commission for the purpose.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan while expressing his annoyance said the decision will be announced on next hearing on 10th of this month.
