Summary At least 97 contractual officers who were axed by the Sindh government are still keeping their posts and enjoying all the perks and privileges while no notification was issued to sack the favorite officials.
The Supreme Court had asked the list of all contractual officials of all the provinces, on this, Sindh government prepared a list of 97 contractual officials. The Sindh government sent 43 officials packing while 54 officials were not yet sacked. Several officials including chief engineer Abdul Qadir Shah, brother of Khursheed Shah, are still holding their posts. The axe would have fallen on Secretary Law Ghulam Bani Shah, Additional IGP Akhtar Memon, five DIGs, Din Muhammad Baloch, Nadir Khoso, Akbar Bhangwar, Khurram Gulzar and Wahid while advisor to interior ministry Sharfud Din Memon; 5 advisors of grade-20 and other officials on important posts.
