The court ordered Pervez Musharraf to appear in court in the 19th of February for the hearing.In the previous hearing of the Benazir Bhutto’s murder case, the special investigation team of the FIA named former President Prevez Musharraf in the charge sheet. It was pointed out that accused CPO Saud Aziz and Khurram Shahzad contacted Musharraf at the time of the murder.The court inquired as to why Musharraf is accused when the prosecutor called upon former interior minister spokesman, brigadier retired, Javed Iqbal Cheema and former Intelligence Bureau chief Ijaz Shah’s recorded statements were presented.Javed Cheema disagreed that Musharraf decided to hold a press conference right after the death of Benazir Bhutto in which it was said that the Benazir Bhutto died because her head hit the car’s lever. However, Ijaz Shah contradicted and said that he was present in the meeting and Musharraf held the press conference so that the blame does not fall on him or his government.On the other hand, Khalid Qureshi, head of the joint investigation team of Benazir Bhutto’s murder was replaced by Wajid Zia. According to reports Khalid Qureshi has been given a promotion and has been sent on a training course for additional IG post.
