The local traders protested by burning tyres and blocked the road, Dunya News reported on Thursday.According to details, 3 dacoits entered in the shop of a fish trader in Qasimabad area of Sukkur, held hostage of the shop workers, looted Rs 2.7 million including mobile phone and other accessories and fled from the scene.The witnesses said that the police reached after a long time in spite of urgent information of the incident.The local traders, after burning tyres and blocking the traffic, reached A-Section Police Station and held a protest sit-in.The protesters said that the life and property of the citizens was insecure because officers have been appointed in all the Police Station of Sukkur District.The demonstrators threatened to call a strike if the looted amount was not recovered immediately after arresting the dacoits. Case of the incident has not been registered by the police so far.
