Summary Pakistan postal action committee for anti privatization organized a protest rally in Multan against the privatization of the General Postal Office. Several GPO employees, holding placards and banners against the privatization, participated in the rally.
Protesters said that privatization of the GPO would leave 47,000 GPO employees jobless. If the government does not take back its decision of GPS’s privatization, the GPO workers will go on countrywide strike and cease all the departmental activities, protesters said.
