ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) is to hear a case on Monday, lodged on petition of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) over alleged difficulties being faced by its members in Panama Leaks probe.

Zia is leading a JIT that is tasked by the top court to hold premier’s family accountable for the wealth they own after a massive leak of a Panama-based law firm last year caused a worldwide uproar over shell entities registered under names of at least 400 incumbent as well former leaders of the world.

Though Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was not named in the leaked documents however, his sons and daughter were held owners of multiple offshore companies which were seen by Pakistani opposition as means to stash wealth abroad evading taxes.

The top court will be hearing JIT’s issues two days ahead of PM Nawaz’s appearance before the team as he has been summoned to answer questions.
