KARACHI (Dunya News) – Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan, Jamal Ahmed survived an alleged murder attack on Saturday.
Reportedly, the attacker fled the scene on foot abandoning the motorcycle as the MPA paralysed his movement rear-ending the bike with his car.
MPAs in Sindh have earlier been attacked in insecurity-wracked Karachi where Rangers had begun a targeted operation in 2013 to curb crime and terror incidence.
Senior deputy convener of MQM, Amir Khan reached the attack site following the incident and while talking to the media stated that the MPA was under threats for past several months. Contingents of Sindh Police and Pakistan Rangers reached the site and launched a probe.
Earlier in August 2015, MQM’s Rashid Godil, Member of National Assembly (MNA) survived an attack after he battled for life while under treatment in hospital.

He had received bullets in his head, jaw and chest.
At the time, he was on his way to then MQM’s party headquarters at Nine-Zero to convene a meeting with chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
