MULTAN (Dunya News)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday has equated any possible attack on joint investigation team (JIT), constituted to probe Sharif’s offshore assets, with attack on country’s top court.

“Those who were distributing sweets on Supreme Court’s (SC) verdict are now making plans to abscond accountability,” taunts Qureshi.
He also claimed that Sharifs were unable to reply questions posed by JIT members during ongoing probe.
Qureshi termed Nehal Hashmi’s outburst against judiciary a drama and accused government of a premeditated attack on Sheikh Rashid inside parliament. Qureshi warned federal government that PTI would stand behind constitutional institutions if Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) attacks them.
Earlier, Qureshi initiated exertions aimed at release of Jamshed Dasti when he reached Multan jail for the said purpose. Qureshi, while talking to media, termed detention of Dasti an act of victimizing political opponents through revengeful tactics.
“No lawmaker of national assembly (NA) can be detained without consent of Speaker NA. Authorities are not permitting me to meet Dasti,” added Qureshi.
It should be recalled that Jamshed Dasti was arrested for forcibly opening canal in Muzaffargarh.
