ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Additional Director General Wajid Zia, who is leading Joint Investigation Team (JIT) constituted to probe much-hyped Panama Leaks case, will file a petition in Supreme Court (SC) to inform about the difficulties being faced by the team.

Sources told that Wajid Zia would comprehensively tell the top court about security concerns, criticism on members, foreign pressure and other issues of JIT in holding the investigation.

It is to be mentioned here that the petition was prepared by Wajid Zia and Irfan Naeem Mangi of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the directives of SC.

On the other hand, the inquiry team would thoroughly review the documents provided by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz in a session at Federal Judicial Academy.

Earlier, PM Nawaz said that sometimes there are talks on Panama case and sometimes Dawn leaks. The premier also responded on the issue of leaked photo of Hussain Nawaz in a lighter mood.

On May 28, Nehal Hashmi had delivered an objectionable speech to a gathering on the occasion of Yaum-e-Takbeer during which he threatened the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and the top court judges over Panama Leaks probe.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) served him a contempt of court notice while PM Nawaz directed him to tender resignation from senatorial seat in addition to revoking his membership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
