The customs authorities have foiled an effort of smuggling of Iranian diesel to Pakistan near Bhit Shah. As per details, the diesel was being smuggles via sea route. The custom authorities recovered 7,000 liters of diesel after seizing the launch and arrested 9 people.The custom authorities told in a press briefing that the department was on high alert to stop the increasing smuggling of Iranian diesel for last few months.They further said that the effort of diesel smuggling was foiled in the city on Northern Bypass and RCD Road during last three months and recovered 300,000 liters of Iranian diesel after which the smuggling activities decreased.According to the custom authorities, the cost of seized launch is 20 million.
