Karachi: Residents of Teesar Town protest against water shortage

Residents of Teesar Town, Liyari in Karachi protested against the shortage of water in the area.The protesters put barricades on Northern Highway and blocked the traffic.As per details, the affected people were being provided water through water tankers after the formation of Resettlement Society but still there was severe shortage of warer.The residents said that water was not being provided to them for last 9 months that’s why they were compelled to protest and block the road.The said that the water provided through tankers was being sold by the mafia and they will continue their protest until the authorities provide water to the residents.
