Summary 25pc Pakistanis use smart phones.
KARACHI (Dunya News)- Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has traced at least 70 fake accounts on internet which are being used by miscreants to instigate youth towards Daesh and to spread their terror ideologies, reported Roznama Dunya.
As per details available, police in collaboration with rangers have initiated probe in this regard and major developments are being anticipated. The traced IDs are being operated not only from Karachi but also from the remote areas of the country.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) CTD-branch Junaid Sheikh said that Daesh is establishing footholds in Pakistan and is emerging as real threat, though the terror outfit lacks infrastructure in the country. Sheikh further narrated that 25pc Pakistanis use smart phones resulting in rapid share of news and messages.
“Several objections are raised against ban on social media platforms. Therefore an alternative strategy has been devised to bar wrong usage of technology”, added Sheikh.
