ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A six-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT), constituted by the Supreme Court, has initiated probe into Panama Papers case at the Federal Judicial Academy from today (Monday).

As per details available, SSP security briefed JIT’s head and members on various matters. A private news channel invited wrath of JIT members when it tried aerial coverage with drone camera whereas security personnel, present at the spot, confiscated the drone camera and reviewed the recorded footage.

However, the drone camera was returned after journalists’ intervention with warning to shoot down any such machine in the future.

It is pertinent here to mention that Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has constituted six-member JIT to probe Sharif family in the country’s most anticipated Panama Leaks case.

JIT includes officials from Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI), State Bank (SB), Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) while director-general level FIA officer will head the team. JIT will have jurisdiction to travel abroad for investigation.

The investigation team will submit a progress report after every two weeks to the apex court. The JIT is supposed to complete probe within two months.
