KARACHI (Dunya News) - Political temperature is on the rise in Karachi as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are all set to hold rallies in the metropolis today (Monday) amid scorching heat.

According to details, PTI will arrange a public gathering in the area of Landhi, Dawood Chowrangi in which Imran Khan would talk to the participants.

On the other hand, PPP would also hold rally against the federal government in protest against prolonged outages of electricity and water dearth. 

Earlier, Imran Khan led a rally in Karachi titled ‘Huqooq-e-Karachi March’ from the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam to Jail Chowrangi and concluded the gathering of workers with an address, saying that the ‘Godfather’ has been handed over to the Joint Investigation Team.

The PTI chief said that the country cannot get rid of corruption until ‘mafia chief’ is sacked. Khan said that a society becomes a slave after it succumbs to suppression. Karachi was a city that used to birth political movements and today it is surrounded by a range of issues.

He said that the metropolis was never this dirty and that the people are not being provided with adequate amount of potable water. While addressing the people of Karachi, he asked why they would not come out of their homes against suppression.
