LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Assembly on Monday approved a resolution expressing confidence in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The opposition was not allowed to submit a resolution against PM which led to exchange of slogans in the assembly.

The row between government and opposition on the matter of Panama case verdict has made its way into Punjab’s provincial parliament. Rival political groups came head-to-head in the assembly today where they raised slogans against each other.

According to the reported details, the matter became heated when the opposition was not allowed to submit its resolution against PM Nawaz which led to a protest.

The Speaker kept on repeating ‘order in the house’ while the opposition members circled around his dice as they tore apart copies of the agenda.

In reaction to the ‘Go Imran Go’ rhetoric, government MPAs also chanted slogans of ‘Ro Imran Ro’.

The opposition ultimately walked out of the parliament. To make the most of the moment, government members of the assembly passed a resolution expressing confidence in Nawaz Sharif.

The resolution also suggested political parties to wait until 2018 elections.
