Summary Multiple rallies across the city caused traffic jam
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh metropolis was the site for multiple power-shows on Sunday as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan conducted rallies.
PPP led a rally called ‘No Nawaz No’ demanding resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over Panama Leaks case verdict of Supreme Court last week. People’s Party marched from Lyari to Regal Chowk. MQM Pakistan carried out a rally under the name ‘Suno Karachi’ from Liaquatabad 10 Number calling the provincial government to take notice of issues of the city and offer plausible solutions.
Federally ruling PML-N conducted a rally from Muslim League House in Karsaz, expressing gratitude over Panama Leaks verdict of the top court.
Owing to multiple rallies across Karachi, traffic flow was affected causing traffic jams on several roads.
PPP workers, upon reaching Regal Chowk staged a sit-in against the federal government. The rally participants demanded off the premier to resign over Panama Leaks verdict. On the occasion, PPP workers had held a coffin symbolic of K-Electric to protest unannounced power outages.
On the other hand, founder of Pak Sarzameen Party, Mustafa Kamal continued with his sit-in outside Karachi Press Club demanding the Government of Sindh to solve issues faced by the people of Karachi.
It should be mentioned here that Kamal has asserted that PSP would gather a million people under one flag and carry out a rally to have people’s demands met concerning the city.
