Summary Anti-terror court ordered to present the supplementary challan before the administrative judge
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Anti-terror court (ATC) on Saturday rejected a supplementary challan declaring Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rauf Siddiqui innocent. The ATC judge ordered to present the supplementary challan before the administrative judge, reported Dunya News.
As the hearing of Baldia Town case began at Karachi Central Jail, suspects Rahman Bhola, Zubair Chariya and others were also present. The investigative officer had verbally informed the court about declaring former Home Minister of Sindh as innocent two months ago.
Upon court orders, Investigation SP Akhtar Farooqui presented the supplementary challan and told that Rauf Siddiqui’s name had been added to Column-2 and declared innocent. The court ordered Akhtar Farooqui to present the challan before administrative judge because declaring someone as innocent was out of court’s jurisdiction.
The court adjourned the hearing till May 20.
