Summary the court has sent three suspects on judicial remand
MARDAN (Dunya News) – Important witness in Mashal Khan murder case, lecturer Ziaullah Hamdard has told the court on Friday that Senior Superintendent of Police from Operations Wing was present with the university administration when the tragic incident unfolded and shifted the entire responsibility to Deputy Superintendent of Police when asked of help.
Hamdard was presented before the court in tight security who stated before the court that Mashal Khan was a brilliant and able student and he never heard any blasphemous words from him.
The varsity lecturer further told the court that SSP was present with the administration officials when the situation intensified but shifted the blame on to his subordinate when he was asked to help.
The court, in today’s hearing, granted judicial remand of three employees of the varsity, Waleed, Sajjad and another. All the three persons denied the charges.
A student of journalism, Mashal Khan was lynched earlier this month in Abdul Wali Khan University as the majority opposed his viewpoints.
He was tortured and shot at a close range by a charged mob of varsity fellows. A case was lodged following the incident while Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack.
A suspect had stated before the police earlier that he was summoned to a varsity official s office and asked for cooperation the day tragic incident had surfaced.
