FAISALABAD (Dunuya News) - After launching Metro Bus service in Lahore, Multan and twin cities, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday announced metro bus project for Faisalabad.

Addressing the local bodies convention in Faisalabad, the Chief Minister said an information technology (IT) university will be constructed in the city while work on Faisalabad safe city project will be initiated soon.

Referring to the mega projects launched by the PML-N government in the power sector, he said that 7000 megawatt electricity will be added to the national grid by the end of this year.

While unleashed verbal onslaught against former president and co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) claim, Shehbaz Sharif questioned why he did not lay foundation stone of the project if he had inked an agreement with the Chinese government during his tenure.

He asked Zardari to stop deceiving the nation.

It should be recalled that Asif Ali Zardari, during an interview with Sohail Warraich on Dunya TV, termed PPP the real inventor of CPEC and Gwadar projects.

Indirectly referring to PTI’s sit-ins, he said those who are practicing politics of protest have destroyed the country.
