Summary The weather of the country has turned pleasant by the rainfall and stormy winds.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Drizzle in various cities of Punjab including Lahore turned weather pleasant.

Heavy rain lashed Galiyat, Swat, Mansehra and Abbotabad.

Meanwhile, torrential rainfall and stormy winds in Islamabad disrupted the routine life. The storm blowing at a speed of 60km/hour collapsed trees, sign boards and traffic signals.



Moreover, a flood like situation occurred at different avenues.

A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist till Friday.

Met office has predicted rain-thunderstorm (associated with gusty winds) at scattered places in upper KP, upper FATA, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in Bannu, D.I. Khan, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions.



Heavy falls are also expected at isolated places in Hazara divisions and Kashmir due to which there is a risk of flash flooding/land sliding in vulnerable areas.

Hailstorm is also expected in Islamabad, upper Punjab, upper KP and Kashmir.



Temperature of some major cities recorded on Wednesday morning was:

Islamabad 16°C, Lahore 20°C, Karachi 27°C, Peshawar 17°C, Quetta and Muzaffarabad 12°C, Gilgit 11°C and Murree 6°C.

Today’s Highest Maximum Temperatures:

Larkana 46°C, Dadu 45°C, Sh. Benazirabad, Turbat, Padidan, Sukkur, Moenjodaro 44°C.
