Summary No clue found despite four hours of effort, Rescue officials stopped operations till Monday morning
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Two youth on Sunday drowned in River Ravi. No clue was found of the two despite four hours of effort while the Rescue officials have now stopped the operations till Monday morning, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Ali and Jamal had gone to the river near Gate No 5 to swim but somehow failed to understand the depth of the river at the time and drowned.
Police and Rescue 1122 officials arrived at the scene upon information and started relief activity with the help of diving experts and boats. The locals of the area said that the youth had gone to take a swim at the river due to load shedding and water closure.
Rescue officials said that the relief activity will be resumed from Monday morning at 7 am.
