Summary Why Sindh, Balochistan not being provided water, gas, asked Opposition leader, says PM out of reach
SUKKUR: (Dunya News) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has on Sunday said that the federal government policies are alienating smaller provinces. He asked why Sindh and Balochistan were not being provided with water and gas, reported Dunya News.
Addressing a ceremony in Sukkur, Khurshid Shah complained that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif could not be reached and thus couldn’t be conveyed the concerns. He said that PM almost never attended the session in Parliament.
Freely criticising the government, Shah said that the federal government was overlooking the strength of the federation. “How do we express our concerns when PM and the ministers never show up at the parliament”, he said.
“Flatterers are not conveying Sindh’s concerns to the prime minister. Balochistan and Sindh are not being provided water for the last two months while several areas of Sindh are also deprived of gas supply”.
Opposition Leader advised the government to be cautious and avoid politics on the hunger of the people. “If the people lose their patience, government won’t be able to contain the situation”, he said.
