NOWSHEHRA (Dunya News) – Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has demanded off the Prime Minister to tender an apology over the ‘lewd’ words used against Member of National Assembly, Murad Saeed.

Khan addressed a rally in Nowshehra today and said that not disqualifying Javed Latif from National Assembly seat would mean that leadership of the ruling party is backing the remarks passed by the MNA and considers those legitimate.

Khan criticised the government by saying that nations do not progress by building roads and bridges. He claimed that the government of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has de-politicised police in the province and urged other provincial governments to follow suit.

The PTI chief condemned shut-up call of Speaker of Punjab Assembly to a member of the opposition, PTI’s Mian Aslam Iqbal.

In a tweet posted in this regard, Khan stated that the behaviour of Punjab Assembly Speaker was condemnable and against the norms.

Earlier last week, MNAs of PML-N and PTI, Javed Latif and Murad Saeed scuffled after a session of the assembly was adjourned. Videos of the clash that surfaced later that day showed Latif using  lewd  words for Saeed s sisters.

The issue was reported as Murad Saeed had attempted to land a punch on Latif s face following the exchange of hot words.

After the issue was reported, Imran Khan defended his MNAs action by saying that I would have gone further.
